About Me
N.L. Brooks is an executive and founding member of a construction technology firm by day, and a lifelong reader and writer by night. A former journalism major and editor of her college newspaper, Brooks has always been captivated by storytelling, but it was RUIN — the first book in the Until the End trilogy — that truly demanded to be written. She lives on the Upper East Side of New York City with her husband, their daughter, and two mischievous black cats, Salem and Dark Spirit.
When she's not writing, wrangling spreadsheets, or planning cruises, she can be found enjoying margaritas, celebrating all things Halloween, and soaking up the city's endless inspiration.
She is a devoted fan of dark romance with hints of suspense and very, very morally gray male main characters. Many aspects of her life in New York shaped Claire's journey in RUIN, though their stories are uniquely their own (much to the relief of friends and family).
RUIN is her first novel.
